Scene Painting: Group Final
This piece was the final project of my Scene Painting class, and the assignment was to recreate a theater backdrop together as a class (there were four of us).
This process taught me a lot about teamwork, communication, and how to have fun even when working on a in depth project such as this.
What I worked on for this piece was sections of the checkered floor, majority of the orange curtains (including shading, highlighting, and blending), as well as the mountainous landscape in the background (sky and moon included). From there, once the main details were finished, I helped with finishing the greenery, including the leaves. I stippled my paint brush to make the flowers on either side.
(We had about 2 hours to complete this work.) The talent of my groupmates got our piece looking as it does now, and we all did our part to complete it. I am proud of this piece of work and it is a reminder of this class & how I cherish the wonderful, laugh-filled times I had during that semester.
