Vivienne
A secondary main character, Vivienne is a citizen of Rhiannon's kingdom and friends with the princess and her friends. She is an avid scientist as well as a secret revolutionary.

Vivienne's father taught her the magical art of alchemy as well as basic apothecary work. As the reign of Rhiannon's father began to grow more and more intensely crushing, alchemy became forbidden to use for anyone but the emperor. So, Vivienne practices it secret and sells the fruits of her labor in secret. In doing so, she managed to attract the attention of Rhiannon, and thus became her friend, confidant, and fellow revolutionary.

I made Vivienne's collage look a bit like her workbench, where she stores bits of plants, papers, recipes, reminders, charts, etc. as she works -- notes on how to make certain mixtures and recipes from her dad when she struggles with a certain magical alchemic potion. I included the "How to Know The Wild Flowers" because I believe Vivienne would always keep reading, educating herself, updating her knowledge, all in a proactive attempt to keep her father's business fresh and successful. I used the blue tape as a way to showcase how Vivienne would piece things together on her wall and workbench area: taping and pinning random bits together and ripping pages out of a book to stick with a stick of dried flowers. I put the sticker of a flower inside a sticker of a jar to show how her shop would have lots of jars filled with bits and bobs that, to an outside viewer, seem random, but to her, make perfect (chaotic) sense.

Her love and knowledge of science does not negate her belief in gods and goddesses. In fact, she is obsessed with mythology. That is why I put a ripped piece of a book saying "Story of the Heavens." Perhaps Vivienne reads it in her free time - whenever that chance may be.
