Kallistê
A secondary main character, Kallistê is coworkers/friends with Zoiah and Morgayne. She is an assassin who longs for a more normal life, one where she can be led by her heart and have the chance to find true romantic love.

Kallistê is a gentle, well-kempt, beautiful young woman who is stuck in a life she didn't choose. Working as an assassin was the last and only choice available to her, and she despises every minute of it since it isn't the life she wants. Or, more correctly, it is keeping her from cultivating the life she wants. It is the way she makes money, and that isn't something she can turn away from, but she longs for something greater. She loves her friends and enjoys their company, but she Kallistê wants beauty. For this very reason, I made her collage have the color scheme of pink, red, white, and a hint of blue. Very prim, proper, and neat organization of most of her page to highlight how she wants her life to be, and bits of her collage are less put together, showing how her life really is.

When I saw the corset page, I knew that I would include that for Kallistê's page. That, along with the angel playing the violin and bottles of perfume and wine. It all encapsulates what Kallistê makes an effort to be for herself, especially in the midst of such a grueling, desensitizing, strife-filled job. She uses her magic to enhance pieces of her appearance, like making her lips redder or her cheeks pinker, her eyes a brighter shade of blue. Perhaps she would spend her paycheck on what little magazines she could get her hands on to keep up with the latest fashion trends (corsets?), whether or not she could actually afford it.

Where she lives is rainy, cloudy, dreary, and cold. She dreams of sunny skies and warm breezes and a cloudless blue sky where flowers can actually grow -- that is why I included the image in the bottom right corner (a little tidbit of actualizing her dream). She longs for a romantic love like the ones she sees on the streets or imagines in her head: ones where she receives love letters and postcards from a beloved telling her how much he misses her. That is highlighted with the letter in the center of the page as well as the ripped postcard at the bottom. The ripped postcard can signify two things to me: 1. a dream that is not, perhaps cannot/will not be fulfilled, or 2. the foreshadowing of a relationship to come, that shows how half of her heart is given to another who has (or has not) given his to her in return.
