Maewyn

This is the collage for one of my main characters Maewyn. Her character arc revolves around the fulfillment of a prophecy that affects the balance of her country and world. I included the sticker of a novel about myth and legend because for thousands of years, that is what her existence was to thousands of people. This is also why I included the snippet of "the Perfection," because it highlights how so many see and perceive her to be. She grew up secluded from society, unaware of her prophetic importance, carefree and naive, so, I included the sticker of a novel of children's garden verses to emphasize this.

She has magic that is centered around connectivity to nature and the flora & fauna of the natural world, so there are flowers spread across the page for this reason. The handwritten pages at the back symbolize her diary she'd kept throughout her youth, which documented her experience of life up until the moment the sanctity of her secluded world was destroyed. In my mind, the flowery paper in the top right & bottom left corner are pieces of the wallpaper that covers her bedroom. And finally, the hummingbird is a symbol of her connection to her mother, whom she never got to meet, but comes to know and love.
